UnitingWorld has launched an emergency relief appeal in response to the devastating impact of the Sumatran earthquake. The quake claimed the lives of more than 600 and destroyed health and livelihood infrastructure. The area of Padang now faces immediate health concerns as well as a massive rebuilding effort. The appeal will support two teams of doctors to provide medical assistance to those affected by the disaster.
