On Thursday 4th June, Associate Director for Church Solidarity (Asia, John Barr) and Communication Coordinator, Amy Goodhew travelled into North Korea for three days to view UnitingWorld projects in the country.
UnitingWorld runs an orphanage, TB clinic and computer training school in Rason City, the the North East of the country. Also under construction is a nurses school and a larger TB clinic to deal with the large numbers of sufferers in the region.
UnitingWorld will be launching an appeal in July for the projects.
Amy Goodhew wrote an account of the experience for The Transit Lounge. Click here to read.
