The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) today released their 2010 federal election resource “Call to the Parties.”
The paper makes key recommendations to all political parties and major political candidates, calling on them to commit Australia to play its full part in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
To help achieve these goals, agreed to by 189 heads of state and government in 2000, Australian NGOs working in international development ask the next Australian government to deliver better aid, more aid and just aid.
The Relief and Developmeent Unit is a member of ACFID and a signatory to the ACFID Code of Conduct. This ensures the highest standards of corporate governance, public accountability and financial management. Visit the ACFID website to read more about the Code.
