Position Vacant: Experience Project Officer

Are you a team player who would gain satisfaction from enabling people to use their gifts serving overseas?

Are you a natural organiser and people-to-people person, able to use good systems to support people in sometimes vulnerable situations overseas?

UnitingWorld is looking for a full time Project Officer to manage volunteer placements between the Uniting Church in Australia and Pacific church partners that contribute to the agency’s goal to grow a movement of people across the Uniting Church committed to relief and development work and international partnership. 

As Experience Project Officer you will facilitate the engagement, management and return of overseas volunteers and other related projects.

The Experience Project Officer will promote and manage Pacific volunteer placements and related projects so as to ensure a high quality experience for participants, providing them with an opportunity to support the work of UnitingWorld and our overseas partners.

The Experience Project Officer will have:

  • excellent administrative, organisational and problem-solving practices
  • a commitment to best practice in working with volunteers
  • excellent relationship and communications skills
  • a desire to further develop skills and knowledge in mission and development.

The Experience Project Officer will work as part of the Church Connections team and will report to the Associate Director.
