About Church Solidarity

Our church solidarity programs are brought about together with our partner churches. These programs are grounded in our Christian faith and support ministry and communities.
The partner church relationship is integral to the work of UnitingWorld and at the heart of every thing we do. Some relationships are nearly 100 years old and form ‘a kind of international intimacy’ between the Uniting Church communities in Australia and those of our partners. UnitingWorld advocates on behalf of our partners on the issues that effect them and through representing them, transform both their communities and ourselves.
Latest Appeal: The Fiji Methodists – Song of Solidarity Appeal
Our Song of Solidarity appeal seeks to add to the voice of the Fiji Methodists during a period of change, hardship and restrictions on denominational meetings and the annual choir festival.
At this time a new generation of leaders intent on leading the Church in working for peace and a Fiji that is accepting of all citizens irrespective of race, gender, age or creed, has called for our support.
Your support of this appeal will help the Methodist Church to make changes and transition to the future by funding workshops and ecumenical engagement, sponsoring advisors to develop management, build administrative capacity and provide communications support, and funding leadership development.
