Additionally, 80 percent of the diocese’s population lives in rural areas, where school dropout rates are high.

The oppressive barriers of the caste system can be overcome through Christian education and the inclusion of Jesus Christ.

UnitingWorld has worked together with our trusted partner, the Church of South India, to establish children’s ministry programs in every village in the area.

An additional 300 new teachers were equipped with the training and resources required to provide an effective Christian education program.
