For some Pacific countries up to 40% of the national population is less than 15 years of age and the looming “youth bubble” will create massive social and economic problems for our partner churches.

As young people abandon traditional village structures and subsistence agriculture for the towns and cities, unemployment and social disease presents a big challenge for youth workers striving to bring hope and vision to young people and keeping them connected with faith and the church community.

This project will bring youth workers together for intensive professional youth worker training either regionally or in Australia.  Examples of of areas being covered are:

•    Theology of youth ministry
•    Sociology and culture
•    Human lifespan development
•    Youth Ministry Program development
•    Gender and social identity
•    Youth participation and community development
•    Youth and spirituality
