Andy Tiver is a UnitingWorld Experience volunteer from Caroline Springs, Victoria. He has a deep love and respect for the Filipino culture and has been working as the minister of St Albans Filipino Congregation Uniting Church in Melbourne since 2004.

Andy and his family will be living in Baguio City in North Luzon for the next three years while he undertakes a community engagement and economic livelihood placement. He will work with the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) throughout North Luzon, located approximately 250 kn north of Manila, Philippines, where many indigenous communities are living in poverty.

Andy will be actively facilitating community engagement programs and bringing different groups together to identify and address areas of cultural conflict. Parallel to this, he will work with the UCCP to establish economic livelihood projects. This aims to break the cycle of poverty and empower indigenous communities through providing a source of sustainable income.

His extensive skills set in the area of community development will be put to good use by our church partner.
