YAP Philippines is based in Iligan City, Lanao Region in Mindanao. Recently a war between Muslim Islamic Liberation Front and the Philippine government broke out in the Lanao region resulting in thousands of Internally Displaced Persons of both Muslim and Christian faith.

YAP is faced with the challenge of re-building the trust between faiths once again. This will be addressed by members attending to the needs of Internally Displaced Persons and organizing forums for Christians and Muslims to better understand the conflict in Mindanao.

YAP Philippines has two coordinators, one Muslim and one Christian as well as a very active working committee that meets monthly.

Most members are university students from Mindanao State University, university professors, lawyers, Bishops, Ulamas, priests and nuns. Unfortunately there are no United Church of Christ in the Philippines members although they come together in forums and other activities.
