While most of us love a good brew, you’re probably also aware that the farmers who supply the world’s coffee aren’t always well paid and the land on which they farm is sometimes not protected from clearing practices that damage the environment.
Where possible, Blackstar buys green beans directly from the coffee producers. Where that isn’t the case, they commit to only buy from importers that have a direct relationship with the farmers and cooperatives. Blackstar place a high value on community, environmental and specialty coffee projects funded and supported by their suppliers.
