Volunteer in our Sydney Office

UnitingWorld happily accepts volunteers interested in assisting with administrative duties and special projects in our Sydney CBD office throughout the year. If you can give a few hours a week, a day a month or help on a special project, we’d love to hear from you. No experience is required for most tasks and we often need assistance with the following items:

  • assist our external relations team to prepare resources
  • filing
  • correspondence
  • assist our Donor Liaison Officer
  • data entry
  • assisting with various projects around the December holiday season
  • ongoing work with our archives
  • help host an overseas guest (provide accommodation, act as a tour guide, meet for a meal..)
  • help with transportation needs during an overseas guest visit

Two roles are currently available:


Re-accreditation Intern

UnitingWorld is currently undergoing preparation for re-accreditation with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We’re requesting a volunteer/intern to assist with the following tasks:

  • Analyse and sort required documentation
  • Use Accreditation Checklist spreadsheet to track documentation
  • Using the naming conventions developed by the previous intern, rename documents for ease of reference and upload to CRM (UnitingWorld’s Management Information System)
  • Work with project managers to ensure documentation is updated and finalised for FY 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18
  • Maintain ongoing records of required documents
  • Provide re-accreditation administration support to team members
  • Assist with follow up to the ACFID statistical data survey as directed by the Manager, Learning Effectiveness and Compliance
  • File management of paper files, including assisting the Humanitarian Coordinator with S:Drive filing and CRM upload

Role would begin immediately and conclude in late October/Early November. 

Hours are flexible from our Sydney CBD office locations. 8-16 hours a week is ideal availability.


Partnership Survey Volunteer

UnitingWorld conducts an annual survey of our international partners to evaluate the health and status of our partnerships. We are seeking a volunteer/intern to assist with:

  • Conducting interviews with overseas partners
  • Launching and supporting an online survey
  • Organising and analysing survey response data
  • Drafting partner survey report

Hours are flexible in our Sydney CBD office. 8-16 hours per week availability is preferential. Position would begin immediately and finish in late October/early November.
