Rohingya Refugee Crisis

Widespread violence against Rohingya people in Myanmar has caused a refugee crisis in Bangladesh.

  • More than half a million new refugees have fled into Bangladesh since August. 60% are children.
  • 5,000 – 10,000 people cross the border each day needing food, shelter and medical assistance.
  • Bangladesh is one of the world’s poorest nations.
